Since its inception in 1993, 4M world of imagination and creativities specializes in producing creative play things for curious kids. 4M’s team of design, is dedicated to the development of fascinatingly creative and stimulating products which enliven kid's natural curiosity, giving them the opportunity to experiment in an exciting, but safe way; and more important, to inspire children's thoughts and experiences beyond even their own wildest dreams.

AWARDS AND ENDORSEMENT
In 2004, 4M was chosen by the Parents' Choice Foundation (US) as a Recommended Award Winner. This award was presented to 4M for the Kidz Labs/Super Magnet which exceeded the Foundation's standards. In the previous year, 4M was honored the Outstanding Performer of the Hong Kong Toy Design Competition for the following innovative quality products; Paint Your Own Piggy Bank, 3D Glow Solar System Mobile Making Kit and Dig & Play/The Lost Jungle. One of 4M's most prestigious accolades was given by the Science Museum (UK). Following a stringent selection process, the 200-year-old Museum approved a variety of their products. Each of these 4M products now bears, on its packaging, the logo of recommendation and approval by the Museum.

SAFETY
Enabling children to play and experiment safely is a significant factor in the design of their products. All 4M products conform to the world's toy safety requirements, including the commonly referred standards as stipulated EN(Europe) and ASTM(USA). Their detailed instructions further enhance the safety of their products.

WORKING WITH ENVIRONMENT
They truly care about the environment and 4M is delighted to have achieved premium packaging that is almost entirely PVC free. To encourage environmental awareness among the children who enjoy their creativity craft products, 4M have included a wide variety of recycling tips that they can use and share with others.

4M believes creativity should not be bounded by languages. To enable kids all over the world to enjoy their products, most of their products are available with 6 languages detailing safety warnings and instructions.

Safe and Green manufacturing by Plan Toys:
Plan Toys ensure that the wood is carefully kiln-dried to achieve correct temperature and moisture content in order to avoid pests and bacteria. Plan Toys uses design techniques such as rounded corners for children’s greater safety. Plan Toys are manufactured in Thailand and comply to several standards in terms of safety, preserving the environment etc. Plan Toys also received certification from the Thai Labor Standard TLS 8001 and Social Accountability standard SA8000.

Plan Toys assembles toys using a proprietary non-formaldehyde glue instead of the traditional toxic wood glue and is E-Zero (Non-Formaldehyde Glue) which means it contains no Formaldehyde emission.
Non-toxic, water based dyes are used to add accent colors to toys. This color contains no heavy metal elements such as lead and mercury.
Plan Toys take their responsibility towards the environment serious and only uses soy ink and water based ink on printed materials. This ink decomposes faster than regular chemical ink and can be recycled more efficiently.
Recycling of materials is key through the whole manufacturing process to produce toys from renewable sources and minimize the environmental footprint.
Plan Toys makes use of alternative and renewable energy sources in their manufacturing. Wood scraps are used to generate energy for the kilns that dry wood. Some portion of the electricity used is also generated from solar cells.

Rubberwood - the environmentally friendly wood:
Plan Toys use rubber wood (Hevea Brasiliensis or commonly called the para tree) from trees that have ceased yielding latex as the raw material for their educational toys.

Rubberwood, which is part of the maple family, is used in high-end furniture and toys, as it is valued for its dense grain, attractive color, minimal shrinkage, and acceptance of different finishes. Rubberwood is also prized as an environmentally friendly wood, as it makes use of trees that have been cut down after 25 years as they no longer produce rubber latex.

Traditionally, those trees were burned and turned into charcoal , providing little subsequent value both economically and ecologically. Instead, Plan Toys turn these old trees into some of the world's best wooden toys - rubberwood has become a priced environmentally friendly wood. Plan Toys increases the value of the rubber woods to their optimum whilst maintaining a more ecological balance.
